Peru Evaluations

In early 2013 PGRD was awarded a five-year contract to provide USAID/Peru with high quality evaluation studies of USAID’s Peru bilateral and South America Regional portfolios.

The Evaluations activity is dedicated to promoting evidence-based programming through the elaboration of high-quality evaluations, assessments and other studies while implementing comprehensive M&E capacity building plans with 33 USAID partners as well as supporting USAID in carrying out its M&E functions.   Over the first four years of implementation, the Evaluations project has delivered 24 evaluations and studies that have supported USAID decision making and programming, and USAID partners have delivered 25 approved M&E plans to USAID as a product of their capacity building.  The Evaluations activity has also developed and implemented a four-course M&E capacity building curricula that has been adopted as a permanent program by the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.

The Peru Evaluation team has expertise in a full range of fields serving the broad monitoring and evaluation (M&E) needs of USAID/Peru as well as helping to build the monitoring and evaluation capacity among USAID/Peru’s local partners.  To apply local expertise in generating high quality studies and providing comprehensive monitoring and evaluation capacity building, PGRD has worked with a number of Peruvian organizations, including long-term partners Grupo de Análisis para el Desarrollo (GRADE) and the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
