In early 2013 PGRD was awarded a five-year contract to provide USAID/Peru with high quality evaluation studies of USAID’s Peru bilateral and South America Regional portfolios.
To bolster local expertise, PGRD turned to Peruvian partners the Analysis Group for Development (GRADE), the Center for Consulting and Integrated Services of Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (INNOVAPUCP), GfK Conecta Peru, and ConsultAndes to round out its team. The Peru Evaluation team has expertise in a full range of fields serving the broad monitoring and evaluation (M&E) needs of USAID/Peru as well as helping to build the monitoring and evaluation capacity among USAID/Peru’s local partners.
Beyond promoting evidence-based programming through critical evaluations, the project is also assisting USAID and its partners in finalizing performance management plans and undertaking data quality assessments. A recent evaluation of a program supporting the sustainability of the Parque Nacional Cordillera Azul is helping to ensure the park’s long-term financial viability and conservation of its natural resources.
